Core Director: The Learning from Research and Clinical Practice (LRCP) Core director for NCCTS will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all activities of the LRCP Core of the NCTSN. These activities will target Network priorities and goals related to the development, dissemination, adoption, and adaptation of empirically supported mental health interventions and trauma-informed practices for traumatized and bereaved children, adolescents and their families. The director will also facilitate Network, family, youth and service agency understanding of the clinical effectiveness of these interventions. The LRCP director will be a point of contact for Network Centers, and will be involved in responding to requests for technical assistance, product development, Network center collaboration, and interfacing with key stakeholders at the federal/national, state, and local levels. Some of these activities will require travel and site visits to Network centers. The LRCP director must have demonstrated expertise and experience related to child and adolescent traumatic stress, child and family mental health and health services, services effectiveness research, and the implementation of evidence-based treatments. A doctoral degree, including specialization in child psychiatry, psychology, social work, or related field, or masters level degree with extensive relevant experience, is required. In addition, the director should have a strong background in providing direct services to children and families. Excellent written and oral presentation skills are required, and strong project management skills are essential. Research Associate: The National Center is looking for a research associate to play a central role in evaluation, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination. The research associate will work within the Data Core of the NCCTS to provide leadership and expertise in evaluation, data management and analysis. The position is located at Duke University, Department of Psychiatry. The research associate will work closely with Drs. Betsy Farmer and John Fairbank, as well as other colleagues at Duke and UCLA to lead, coordinate, and conduct a wide variety of data-related activities. Research Assistant: A research rssistant is needed at the National Center at Duke to work on data collection, data management, and evaluation projects. Requires knowledge of research/evaluation, Microsoft Excel and Access, and statistics (preferably SAS, but we can train). Preferred education includes a bachelor or masters in psychology, sociology, public health, social work, or other social or human science field.
