In Harm's Way: Preventing and
Healing Childhood Trauma

 
On May 4, 2006, Children’s Institute, Inc. (CII) will convene In Harm’s Way 2006: Preventing and Healing Childhood Trauma, in Los Angeles, bringing together 800 professionals from a broad spectrum of children and family services for the fifth in a series of national forums. 

The forum--which coincides with CII’s 100th anniversary--will feature more than 30 diverse and nationally recognized leaders who will share cutting edge programs and evidence-based practices.  Presenters such as William Bell, Shay Bilchik, Fr. Gregory Boyle, Eliana Gil, David Olds, Dorothy Roberts, Dan Siegel and Jerry Tello will address issues of child welfare, early child and youth development, mental health, domestic violence, substance abuse, cultural competency and other issues.
